Malik Mack, the Ivy League Rookie of the Year by way of St. John's HS in Washington, committed to Georgetown on April 18, 2024 following a strong freshman season at Harvard, scoring in double figures in 23 of 27 games last season, with a high of 32 points and six assists against UMass. His 413 points on the season was a school record for a freshman.

Mack started 32 games as a freshman, adjusting to the pace of the Big East at guard. He scored in double figures in nine of 11 non-conference games, but struggled at times in conference play and shot just 11 for 36 in his last four games of the regular season. Mack led trhe team in assists with 136 and was third in scoring.

Georgetown's arrival in the College Basketball Crown brought Mack national attention, scoring a career high 37 in a win against Washington State and 23 of a game high 25 points after halftime in a loss to Nebraska.
